Jeep Suspension repair
If your Jeep starts violently shaking at high speeds—especially after hitting a bump—you’re likely dealing with the infamous Jeep Death Wobble. It’s terrifying. It’s dangerous. And at A&A Quick Fix in Brooklyn, we fix it fast.
What Is the Jeep Death Wobble?
The Death Wobble refers to an uncontrollable shaking of your Jeep’s front suspension and steering system. It usually happens at speeds above 50 mph and is most common after driving over potholes, bumps, or uneven roads—something Brooklyn has no shortage of.
Why Brooklyn Roads Make It Worse
The brutal combination of:
- Deep potholes
- Steel plates
- Uneven bridge joints
- Winter road salt
…creates the perfect storm for suspension damage. Jeep Wranglers, Cherokees, and Grand Cherokees take the brunt of it. If your suspension or steering has any weak point, the wobble can strike.

Ali took care of everything and fixed the issue for less than half of what the dealer quoted. The work was done professionally, quickly, and with great attention to detail.
He’s amazing at what he does, his prices are more than fair, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers.
If you have a BMW (or any car), don’t waste your time at the dealer go see Ali. Highly recommend!

After that experience, I was hesitant to trust another shop until I found A&A Auto Repair which was recommended by my friend. From the moment I walked in, Ali was polite, honest, humble, and respectful. He thoroughly explained what needed to be fixed now and what could wait. I needed brakes, a motor blower replacement, an oil and filter change, and two new tires—and the price he quoted was less than a quarter of what the dealer charged me for far less work.
As a single parent, that honesty and fairness meant everything to me. For the first time, I didn’t feel like I was taken advantage of or or regretful that I did not bring a man w/ me. I felt his hospitality and genuinely respected. He followed up w/ me the very next day to see how the car was working and to reminded me of our next appointment to finish everything off. Ali has earned my trust and will absolutely be my mechanic moving forward 😉 Thank you, Ali. More then you know!!!
See you soon

I was in a little bit of a hurry to get my car repaired before a state inspection. Ali told me to bring my car to his shop and he'd take care of it. He told me up front what cost, time and labor would be. Afterwards he checked my entire car and advised what needed additional repairs. He's honest, reliable and so nice to deal with. I'd definitely commend him to friends and family...

I came from Staten Island to Sunset Part for a brake replacement and oil change, and let me tell you, it was worth it.
Ali is friendly and knowledgeable, and he got the job done quickly without cutting corners.

Reasonable prices and honest work! Couldn’t ask for better service!

Jeep Death Wobble FAQ
Jeep death wobble is usually triggered by a loose or worn track bar. Other causes include bad ball joints, unbalanced tires, worn tie rods, or a bad steering stabilizer. It’s most common in Jeeps with solid front axles, especially on rough city roads like we have across Brooklyn and Park Slope.
Yes — absolutely. If you keep driving with death wobble, it can wear out your suspension, steering box, and even damage your frame over time. That’s why Jeep owners from Sunset Park to Bay Ridge come to A&A Quick Fix the moment it starts.
We see it most in the Wrangler JK, JL, TJ, and YJ, but also in Grand Cherokees (WJ, WK, WK2) and Cherokee XJs. If you drive a Jeep in Brooklyn and hit potholes daily, your rig is at risk—especially on BQE exits or the Belt Parkway.
We run a complete suspension and steering diagnostic, check torque on all hardware, measure tire balance and alignment, and swap any worn parts with OEM-grade replacements. It’s how we’ve earned trust from Jeep drivers across Park Slope, Greenwood Heights, and Red Hook.
Yes, and that’s no exaggeration. Between steel plates, deep potholes, and freezing winter cracks, Brooklyn’s roads are brutal on Jeeps. If your suspension has even one loose bolt, death wobble can start overnight. That’s why we specialize in local road-driven repairs.
Most jobs are done same-day here at our shop on 3rd Ave in Sunset Park. If you’ve got more severe wear or multiple issues, we’ll give you a full quote and timeline upfront. Whether you’re coming from Bay Ridge, Gowanus, or Park Slope, we’ll get your Jeep safe and stable—fast.
